JC1 & JC2 (Yr
2010) Economics Tuition Programme
Registration for the July Intake 2010 is open!

(Details on the
A-Level
Economics Tuition classes
here)
Dear Parents and Students,
Besides our centre at Bishan, we have now classes in
Bedok and Kovan as well.
Please visit here for more details on Economics group
lessons.
We've another piece of great news: Each of our student gets
FREE access to our website database , whereby they can access and retrieve all the
Singapore JC's Prelim exam papers, as well as the Cambridge's actual A-Level
Economics past year papers.
Not forgetting the full length and outline answers to the Economics
essay and case studies questions, so that you can model the thinking behind the
answers and the exam techniques (not the content answers, as some of you might be
told)
After all, on top of your content
knowledge and practice, you MUST have the
exam skills to guarantee your Economics
distinction.
(If you agree that, even if you are allowed to bring in all your
lecture notes and tutorial materials, you are still unable to guarantee yourself
the 'A' grade, then you must attend our exam skills tuition classes.)

Economics Tuition classes here.

Mr Jack Tan is a very good Economics tutor. I find him
very patient and is always willing to teach his knowledge and exam skills with the students.
I think that all the students including my daughter, Siew Ching are
all very happy with him teaching them. They really enjoyed his Workshop very much.
I could still recall 2 months ago, when I found my daughter crying in
her room. She felt miserable for failing to understand Economics. I felt so helpless as I wasn't
able to help her in her work at all.
I regretted delaying to get help in her school work. I was totally
wrong. I decided to sign her up for the Econs tuition with Adam Smith tuition agency.
What a difference the workshop made! Now my kid is so confident in
her 'A' Levels!

How Did Economics Get So Terribly Difficult?
There is a lot of effort and difficulty involved in learning
Economics. After all, many GCE 'A' Level and IB students have no prior experience and in Economics during 'O'
levels.
100% OF THE CONTENT is new to most. So, there is a steep
learning curve to learning Economics at Aadvanced
level.
Under the COMPULSORY contrasting subject system, no
'A' Level student can take purely Science-based subjects or Arts-based subjects.
Science students, favour Economics
over History or Literature as the contrasting subjects.
Arts students choose Economics over Physics, or
Chemistry.
IN CONCLUSION,
WE HAVE MORE STUDENTS SITTING FOR ECONOMICS EXAMS.
...Students who have no prior knowledge of Economics, no advanced Economics essay
writing and case studies, yet they have no choice but to do Economics...
I Learnt How to Obtain a Grade "A" for Economics in 5
hours!
Mr Tan makes lessons exciting and relevant by demonstrating how the content of the subject can be used
to explain everyday phenomenon.
His greatest strength is being able to break down seemingly complicated concepts, enabling students who
are new to the subject to understand the various economics mechanisms.
His extraordinary approach allows his students to not only understand and to enjoy the subject but to
do excel in examinations too.
That's how I got my Economics distinction. |

Does these sound familiar to you or your child?
You read
up all the lecture notes you are given by your school. Yet when you
attempt the class assignments and lecture tests, you rarely get even a 'Pass' for Economics...
You spent lots of time practicing on how to write good essays and
case studies answers, but invariably you get increasingly disappointed that each time you get back your answer
script, it's always LESS than what you believe you deserve, given the MORE and MORE time and effort you put
in...
You're starting to lose interest in Economics... and that loss of
interest strangely spreads to Literature, History, Chemistry, China Studies in English, ......
How Do Schools Help With Your
Children's Economics Learning?
They conduct remedials (lots of it!).
However, every subject (even Chinese) conducts remedial lessons. Imagine this: if every subject sets up
remedial classes, how can your child cope?
They issue more assignments and questions. Not a bad
thing, but how much more time do our busy teachers have to mark more extra test scripts?
(In fact, it may not be a surprise to you that your child will tell you that
his/her JC Economics teachers has yet to return an essay class asssignment answer script that the teacher gave 2 or
3 months ago!...)
